Fall Festival Photography Contest
When and Where: Begin taking your pictures at any time. All entries must be in the hands of the Bradford Public Library no later than the Library’s closing on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Winners and prizes will be announced and awarded on Saturday, Sept. 26th at the Fall Festival Chicken Pie Supper.
Divisions: Adults have three categories in which prizes will be awarded: Nature, People, Landscape
For younger photographers, there are four divisions:
3 to 8 years, 8+ to 12 years, 12+ to 15 years,16 to 17 years
Younger photographers may enter whatever photos they wish.
Prizes: Bradford businesses such as the Colatina Exit, Subway, Hills, North of the Falls, Barton Dentistry, and others have offered gift certificates as prizes, some with a value of as much as $50.00, so enter early and often. In the adult division, there will be three prizes in each category. In the youth division, there will be at least one prize and one Honorable Mention certificate awarded in each age group.
How to Enter: For each photograph you enter, fill out an entry form (limit of 5 entries per person). You will be assigned a number to ensure objectivity in the judging. Print your photograph on regular photo paper or color printer paper and bring the entry blank and photograph to the Library. All entries must be in the hands of the Bradford Public Library no later than the Library’s closing on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
Who: The contest is open to everyone.
What: Photos must be of scenes or subjects located in Bradford, Vermont. The entry blank provides space for you to identify the scene/subject of your entry.
Judges: Three independent judges will judge all photos submitted and designate the winners; the decisions of the judges shall be final.
Display: Photos will be displayed at the Library and at other locations in the Bradford commercial district. Your official entry is your acceptance of and permission to have your work displayed.
