The Bradford Public Library is pleased to provide exhibit space for local artists to display their work to enhance the community experience and create a visually stimulating environment that enriches the space beyond just books. Pennsylvania born painter and singer Robert Phipps received a BFA degree from Harvard College, where he studied with T. Lux Feininger. Before moving on to graduate study wher he earned his MFA at Boston University, Mr. Phipps apprenticed with sculptor, Rokushu Mizufune, and the calligrapher, Morita Sensei, while living in Japan. Solo exhibits include the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Wetherholt Gallery in Washington D.C., Boston University and more. Robert Phipps resides in Newbury, Vermont.
