Tax Prep Assistance

Schedule change: Tax Prep will be held on Saturday, 3/24 9-12 AM instead of 3/31.

Free Tax Preparation Assistance will be offered again this year at the library beginning January 25 – April 12. This program is sponsored by and all volunteers preparers receive training from the IRS and the Vermont Department of Taxes. Assistance will be available on Thursdays 4-7 from February 1st through April 12th except not on April 5th and Saturdays 9-12 (last client starts at no later than 11:30) on Feb 10, 17, mar 3, 17, 24 and April 14th. Free Tax Preparation/Filing Assistance for families making $54,000/year or
less will be offered again this year Appointments can be drop-in or scheduled

In addition to preparing state and federal tax returns, our volunteers will
help file Vermont’s renter’s rebate, annual VT homestead declaration and property tax
adjustment forms.

Please bring your social security card or a government issued document that
contains your full social security number; a valid photo ID; and your tax
documents including property tax bills.
